Objective: To build a raft that can hold the most passengers (weight).

Guidelines:

  • Use between 3-10 materials to build a raft that can float in water (bathtub or sink)

  • Examples of materials include aluminum foil, popsicle sticks, cardboard, plastic bottles, plastic straws, cans, tupperware, styrofoam, etc.

  • Adhesives do not count as materials

To test your raft, place as many objects as you can on top of it until sinkage. Afterward, you can weigh the objects to see how much weight your raft could hold.
